What to Know Before you Arrive
The sauna is a simple practice, but a little preparation goes a long way. What you bring and how you arrive shapes your experience and the experience of the people sharing the space with you.
What to bring
2 towels: one for the bench, one for after
Bathing suit
Flip flops or sandals
Water bottle: you'll sweat more than you think.
Sauna hat: protects your head from the intense heat and lets you stay in longer comfortably (optional)
A bathrobe or something cozy: the rest between rounds outside is part of the practice, and on cooler days you may want it
Plan your session Sessions run 90 minutes. You'll move through rounds of heat and cold at your own pace — most people do 3 rounds, each roughly 10–15 minutes in the heat followed by a cold rinse and a rest. There's no clock and no pressure. Do whatever your body is feeling.
Use the restroom before you arrive There are bathrooms available on site, but they're located in the main building — a bit of a trek mid-session. Save yourself the interruption.
Phones and scents at the door Please leave your phone outside (we have lockers on-site). This is a space for presence, not performance. Leave strong perfumes and scents at home too. In a small shared space, they affect everyone around you.
