Kotisauna is a community sauna at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto's Don Valley. Run as a social enterprise, it offers hosted 90-minute sessions in the Finnish tradition: heat, cold showers, rest and the people beside you. The 16-seat sauna was designed by Kamu Sauna. Kotisauna is a member of Sauna from Finland and a founding signatory of the Sauna for All charter. Open Thursday to Monday.

At work, at home and online, someone always needs something from us. What people want is almost embarrassingly simple: a place they can trust to just be.
No expectations. Nowhere to go. Just space for you. A wooden bench, some heat, time outdoors and the people who show up beside you. It's how sauna was always done.
That's what we built. In Finland this summer I said the goal of community sauna is a place to see the same faces. I still think that's the whole job.

We presented on the Sauna for Society panel in Jyväskylä, Finland, with Community Sauna Baths (UK), Kamu Sauna (Canada) and Fad Saoil Saunas (Ireland). More than 400 people from 36 countries came.
